In the 2007 AUA Urology Residency Match*, there was no match between the preference list you submitted and the lists submitted by the various Urology Training Programs.

So, on to plan B? What is plan B? Any thoughts?

Please do not think that this means you should apply to Urology at least 5 more times. My brother Tim who is down here now has just recently gone through a similar situation as you have and it might be a good idea to give him a call and hear his testimony. It may give you some inspiration on your next step. His #: 850-221-8686. Tim loves retelling this story.

Remember, keep your head up and that this will be an excellent story in one of your sermons someday as the pivotal moment of the direction of your life.

It is easy to look at opening or closing doors and believe that they are representations of our successes or failures. However, that could not be further from the truth. The Lord's will and timing are sometimes just beyond our human comprehension, but always remember that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." God has placed in you special talents, Eric. You are an amazing individual, and I know that God has great plans for you. Keep looking up, and He will soon show you the direction in which you should go. I will be praying for you.
