Eric's dad (on left in group picture) visited us two weeks ago. It was great to have him here. The day he left, he took us to visit the California Air and Space Museum which had an exhibit of Da Vinci's artwork and and working models of his inventions. It was actually very interesting. I was really struck however, with how we, as humans, really want to fly. Da Vinci had all sorts of contraptions that he built with the attempt to give human beings flight. The red airplane/car I have pictured actually works. This car/plane was built by an entrepreneur here in Sacramento. You can actually order this air bearing object as the designer is planning to begin mass production (aka making more than his currently two working models) in the next year or two. The asking price is only a mere 1-2 million US dollars.
Philip, my brother, and I spent some time together this last Sabbath after church. It was fun to visit and realize how much we think alike!
Have a great week!
