It is my pleasure to announce that registration for WYC2008 is now open. The theme for WYC2008 is "Something Better." Our extended weekend will be based around the seven "better" things mentioned in the book of Hebrews. Powerful messages will be presented encouraging us in our Christian walk. Confirmed speakers include Doug Batchelor, Peter Gregory, Don Mackintosh, Eugene Prewitt, and Jeffrey Rosario. More information about each of them is available on our website, www.WesternYouthConference.org.
In addition, 3-4 seminar tracks will be available on a variety of topics relating to practical Christianity. In the next few weeks, check our website for an updated schedule for WYC2008 including titles for these seminars.
One special note: based on the feedback received from last year's survey's, WYC2008 will remain the last week in June. However we will begin the conference THURSDAY night rather than Friday night this year. This will allow more time for seminars, the addition of some outreach, and less rush from meeting to meeting. Plan now to attend!
I encourage all of you to register early if you do plan to attend WYC2008. Recall that last year registration closed early due to lack of space. Registration is required, no walk-ins are allowed even just for Sabbath programming. We have made every effort to maximize the available housing, food, and seating arrangments, however space is still limited. If you plan to invite friends, please encourage them to register early as well. Below, please find the text for a bulletin announcement for your local church if you would like to assist us with spreading the word.
