Move and Adjustments

Moving across the country with a 2 y/o and 2 m/o was quite an adventure. I'm so thankful that my mother-in-law was able to help me pack everything up (she literally packed everything, I packed MAYBE two boxes at most...). We left Sacramento via Southwest Airlines at 9:30 am May 31 and arrived at my parent's home in Blue Ridge, GA at 12:06 am June 1. Both children traveled well until Atlanta. While waiting for our luggage, Amy and Michael both started weeping and wailing. I have a video of it which I would post if I could figure out how.

Amy loves "Grandma Sherry's" house, especially the pool. Unfortunately, the pool is only half filled with greenish water and my father is trying his best to figure out how to make that water clear... Amy is still getting used to all the bugs. She started screaming hysterically Sunday and I was sure she was seriously hurt. On rapid investigation a cute lady bug had landed next to her, sending her into a panic attack.

We visited our new rental home yesterday. It's really nice. We unpacked the three boxes I had brought on the airplane and Amy was thrilled to discover her "little people" dolls again! I was sure that when she talked to daddy last night she would remember to tell him she found her favorite toys but no. Her conversation about the day went like this: "Daddy, Amy ate breakfast, Amy had BREAD and 'afsauce.' Then Amy went pee-pee and POO-POO. Then Amy in car. Bye-bye Daddy." Guess the bodily functions of life have a greater impact on our day than toys...
