2 minutes

Lately, when I'm putting Amy to bed, she's been begging me to lie on her bed with her. It's so cute the way she asks: "Mommy, lie with me just two minutes."

Yesterday, she was supposed to be taking her nap. I suddenly heard the most agonizing weeping and wailing. I opened the door and she had moved her mattress, her dresser, and all her toys. "Mommy, I can't find my money," she cried. I assured her I would help her look AFTER her nap and told her to lie back down (she has been trying to delay nap time the last few days). She cried herself to sleep. I was quite sure she'd forget all about it when she woke up but no. As soon as she awakened, she yelled, "Mommy, come help Amy find her money." I didn't even know she'd had money, to be honest, so didn't think I'd be very successful but went in to help anyway. Amazingly, when I went to put her dresser back into place, we found a penny underneath. "My money, mommy found my money!" She exclaimed. For the rest of the day, the penny went everywhere with her. She talked about how she was going to take it with her to Sabbath school and put it in the offering basket. Then, horrors of horrors, it somehow dropped off the cushion of the couch (where I was supposed to be watching it while she went to the bathroom) and rolled under the couch. Thankfully, I saw it happen and was able to console her with the assurance that daddy would move the couch when he got home from work. Unfortunately, I forgot to get daddy to actually do that. I was hoping she would forget about it but nope, that was the first thing she asked about this morning when she woke up.... Guess I'll have to figure out a way to move the couch myself.
