Hiding to sin
Walked into the bathroom to find Amy in the corner with the light off.
"Why are you standing in the corner by yourself?" I asked
"I'm hiding so you won't see me eat the lotion!" was the unexpected reply.
---------
This morning Amy lost a penny for not obeying the first time. I wasn't sure if she really understood the implications of "losing money" as she didn't seem to perturbed when it was removed from her piggy bank. I guess it did bother her, however, because it was the first the she told daddy when he came home from work and later in the evening, after complementing her for cheerfully obeying the first time she immediately stated: "Mommy, I think that Amy now deserves a PENNY!"
-----------
Yesterday, both children took a nap together in the car. They slept for almost an hour (yes, that's a LONG time in this household). Unfortunately, they both woke up wailing. It was so funny. Both were in the kitchen, Amy was clinging to my pants with heart wrenching sobbing. Michael was sitting on the floor with his face buried in his hands crying his heart out. As soon as Michael would stop, Amy would crescendo until he again joined her. It sounded like a duet--albeit a very mournful one.
