Catching up

Yesterday, I was trying to explain each of the commandments. When we got to the one on adultery, Amy very solemnly said, "Mommy, I've committed abuldary."

"Really?" I asked, totally surprised.

"Yes," she sadly continued, "I married Aunty Kristy, and then I decided to marry Uncle Ty-Ty instead."

While leaving Grandma Sherry's house last Sabbath evening, Amy was quick to assure Grandma Sherry: "Don't worry, as soon as I get home I will text you."

Amy pulled out all the clothes from her drawers (canvas drawers). I came in and found the heaps and piles of clothes with Amy sitting in the middle. She proudly announced she was "organizing her drawers!" To her credit, all the clothes were stuffed into the drawers and the drawers all put back the next time I walked into the room. Today, I attempted to re-organize the drawers. I as making great progress, until Michael had a BLOW OUT diaper. I had to stop and change the diaper. By the time that was finished, Amy had already stuffed the clothes back into the drawers and put the drawers back up. She was so excited that she had helped me. Inwardly groaning, I still stopped and thanked her profusely (trying to encourage her helping SPIRIT). Then she skipped over to Michael's clothes drawers and said happily, "Now Mommy, I'm going to organize all of Michael's clothes!" Thankfully, I could assure her that his clothes were ALREADY organized and she could help mommy another way...
