Random funny things
Amy was left in the car after she buckled herself BACK into her car seat and told me she was going to take a nap instead of coming inside like everyone else. All was quiet for a few minutes, and then the most TERRIBLE weeping and wailing commenced. I allowed her to cry for a few minutes before going out to rescue her.
"Oh momma," she wailed, when I started to unbuckle her. "I am just crying my little eyes out!"

After a swat on the bottom for not coming when after being called at least 3 times, Amy said,
"Mommy, you need to kiss my bottom."
I replied in short I wasn't going to kiss it, the swat was meant to get her attention, and if it hurt a little bit, well, that was OK.
"OK," mommy, she replied.
And then, very ceremoniously, she kissed her own hand and applied her own kiss to her bottom.

I found Amy in the living room, chewing on play dough. After scolding her for putting this in her mouth she calmly replied: "It's OK mommy, you see I'm pretending to be a BABY."
