Accidents might happen

After I had expounded on our table rules (which included not putting one's food ON the table) Amy pointed out that Michael had food all around his plate.
"Michael didn't mean to." I explained.
"Well mommy, if I get food on the table I will not mean to either." Amy immediately shot back.
