Faking starts early.
A while ago, we had a problem with Michael pulling tissues out of the tissue box and scattering them all around the house. After a prolonged intervention which included multiple demonstrations of what would constitute proper use of tissues, he seemed to get the message. Our tissue boxes have been left alone for the last several months.
Just today, however, I watched him go over to the tissue box. Muster the best fake sneeze and cough a 2 y/o can come up with, then take a tissue, wipe is nose, and bring it to the trash can. He repeated this twice. Guess he at least knows what's supposed to happen with tissues!
