And so it goes
As we get to Costco...
Michael: Mommy, look at the sign--C--O--S--T--C--O spells...(voice trails off waiting for me to tell him what it spell)
Mommy: Costco
Amy: No, you spelled it wrong Michael. Costco starts with "K" because it starts with a "Cuh" sound. "C" says "s-s-s."
Michael: NO it starts with C.
Mommy: Michael is right, C can say "cuh" and "s."
Michael and Amy in the car
Michael starts loudly singing "Love at Home"
After he pauses to catch his breath Amy announces that she wants to sing "Don't Forget the Sabbath"
Michael patiently listens until Amy stops momentarily
He then launches into "Love at Home" again.
Amy remonstrates with him stating it was HER turn
Michael replies that he wants to sing HIS song
Michael then recruits mommy to sing with HIM
Amy retaliates by begging for mommy to stop singing with Michael and sing HER song
Soon both children belting out favored song at full volume with intermittent "stop singing THAT song" thrown in there.
Somehow I feel that both kids missed the point of the songs......
