So today, Michael had to get an endoscopy. So, last night I explained that he would be taking a little nap while the doctor looked at his esophagus, stomach, and intestines. He wouldn't feel anything and I would be there when he woke up. Michael had some foggy memories of his last procedure. He mainly remembered the IV and wanted me to promise him he wouldn't have any "shots." I promised that he wouldn't have any shots until he was asleep. He seemed satisfied with this answer and didn't have too much trouble falling asleep. This morning, however, when I got him up to get ready, he was NOT happy. He cried and cried saying he didn't want to go to the "hospical." Amy, sympathetic as ever, felt very sorry for him and took it upon herself to comfort him.
"Don't worry Michael," she crooned. "You will not feel anything because you will be asleep. And anyhow," She paused for a moment to collect her thoughts. "Going to sleep from the medicine is just like dying."

When asked by one of the nurses what mommy and daddy do, this was Amy's reply.
"My daddy works in a BIG hospital and my mommy works in a small hospital. Daddy's hospital has lots of rooms and mommy's hospital has only 1, 2, 3 rooms."
