Church

The kids have been playing church in the living room for the last 30 minutes or so. They both led in the singing and praying. Then Michale told a "children's story." Right now Amy is "preaching." Michael is the audience and is dutifully looking up texts in his Bible. Amy has so far declined to actually help him find any of the texts she's "quoting." He's come to me a few times for help. Amy's sermon is wide ranging with multiple loose associations. She is varying her voice exceptionally well from forceful to pathetic, emphatic to entreating. I guess the sermon has ended because she is now playing postlude on the piano: A song she has made up herself, which, to be honest actually sounds really good. I'm pretty impressed they have made it through an entire "church service."
