All in a day
This morning Amy emerged from her room sporting neon pink tights, light pink dress, and red shoes. Even Eric agreed it was a ecclectic combination and sent her back to change. Much weeping and wailing ensued. Eventually she reammerged with appropriate attire. You look very nice Amy, I tried to complement. "I'm NOT Amy," she snapped. "Today I'm Laura." Later on in the day, we took "Laura" on a hike with church friends. She soon recruited a "Mary", "Carrie", and "Grace" and the "Ingles family" was complete. Not sure how well each fit the role but they pranced around happily. We are on our way home now and Laura is back to Amy. She and Michael are singing a duet in the back seats. Michael is changing "sheepy, sheepy" and Amy is crooning, "if I get bit by a rattle snake I will be OK, I will be OK..." Kids are incomprehensible at times.
