New Husband
We are on the way to the hospital where my husband was taken following a bad 4-wheeler accident. Providentially, he hadn't died (he was unresponsive for 5 minutes). I was crying softly in the front seat of the car when little Amy, also sobbing, says, "Mommy, I am so glad that daddy didn't die because, you know, it would be really hard to find another husband!"
Addendum:
Eric fell off of a 4 wheeler (no helmet). I found him unresponsive and not breathing. He was unresponsive for at least 5 minutes. Thankfully, he woke up when ambulance arrived. Head CT showed small subarachnoid hemorrhage and he was admitted for observation. Repeat head CT showed improvement in hemorrhage. He suffered from headache and fatigue for about a week but is now back to normal with no residual defects. We are thankful for the Lord's mercy.
