Not getting married

Michael announced today: “Mom, I’m not going to get married when I grow up.”
“Ok,” I replied mildly. “Why not?”
“Because I want to travel all around the world and a wife couldn’t come with me. She would need to stay at home.”

Hmmm. Where kids get these ideas? In our house, I AM the one who does the globe trotting and Eric stays at home.
