Day I don’t want to forget
There are some days I don’t want to forget. Today is one of them. At least this afternoon is one of them. This afternoon was dinner with the doctor. Somehow I forgot bowls for soup so we had to serve the soup in cups. Then we ran out of food. So I had to drive to the store to buy more food. At the store, the cash register stopped working and I got to practice “Letting patience have is perfect work” (James 1:2-4). Finally, I got back and threw together food for all the helpers and kids. We took it outside ready to serve, and it started pouring down rain. Michael got his foot stepped on about then and went into complete melt down mode, Amy informed me she was going to throw up and I discovered she had eaten a pie with cashew base (while I was buying food for helpers) and was now having an allergic reaction. Then, two boys I was supposed to be babysitting at this event arrived (late) and started running wildly around. Concurrently, Eric is lecturing and a table host (who should know better) interrupted his presentation to argue with him about proper cancer treatments (Eric promotes evidence base and apparently this person wants to treat cancer with carrot juice). Then.........it.was.over.
