Amyisms
Kids are outside playing. I come out and start working the in the garden. Amy immediately comes over and offers to help. "It's much more fun to help you," she said gaily. "The game we are playing is getting boring."
"What were you playing?" I asked.
"Oh," she said nonchalantly. "We were playing 'college'. We pretended we were at a college in Kentucky."
-------
I'm tucking Amy into bed. "Mom," she says very seriously. "I need to help you more. I'm getting to old to play games. They are just really boring now. We should just get rid of all my toys."
-------
We went to a vocalist concert this evening. Amy was transfixed. At the end she told me, "Mommy, I want to be just like that girl (YES! I think. She is going to be a vocal performer) I want to someday wear a fancy dress just like the one she's wearing."
