Day #10
Today was Michael's birthday! Wow, I have an 8-year-old. I made him wait until 9 am to start his scavenger hunt. The hunt included figuring out covert clues and calling family members. It took him well over an hour to finish. The reward at the end was a drone. He was SO excited. Thank you so much to all the family and friends who helped make this a fun activity for Michael.
My parents came over for lunch (6 people max). We had a simple meal with a simple cake that semi-fell apart. My parents gave Michael a road atlas. Michael LOVES maps and has been begging for a road atlas that he saw at Wal-Mart. He was SO excited. All evening he alternated between studying the map and flying the drone. I'm thankful for the little joys in life. Eric was home for lunch thanks to elective surgeries being cancelled.
After lunch, the kids had zoom violin lessons which went well. Then, because it was pouring all day again, we dragged the kids out for a walk rather than working on the garden. We were completely soaked, but it was totally worth it to get outside for fresh air.
We ended the evening with a zoom prayer meeting and a zoom samaritan assistant meeting.
