Day #13-14
Day #13
Friday was a busy day of preparation for Sabbath. Even though we didn't "go to church" we had to still "prepare for church" by making sure our zoom link worked. It took a bit of time to get all the glitches worked out.
Eric only worked half a day and returned home by lunch. I'm thankful he got home so soon because our free pile of mulch was delivered and he was able to tell EPB where to put it.
Kids worked hard at school and music practice. I had a few random meetings via phone and zoom (journal club for work and Bible study). I even managed to get a nap! Overall it was a nice, quiet day.
Day #14
Sabbath was a lot of fun. I led out in the junior zoom Sabbath school. I was excited that 21 cites logged in. Amy and Michael had zoom primary class as well. It went extremely smoothly. Church was a zoom/livestream hybrid with only some minor glitches.
We went to my parents for lunch. My mom made a delicious pot pie! After lunch I took a nap (this is becoming a habit).
Friends called us early in the afternoon and invited us to go canoeing. The thought behind the invite was social distance happens by default on the water in a canoe! We obviously don't have canoes so we loaded up our kayaks and spent a quiet afternoon enjoying God's nature on a very calm creek only 3 miles form our house.
We ended Sabbath by joining our church for a mission vespers. Then it was early to bed.
