Day #16

Breaking News: Tennessee has an official "Safer" at Home Order that goes into effect tonight night at 12pm. (Note: I'm posting on day #17).

Day #16 had no major events. Amy and Michael did school, practice, and played inside. The pollen count was really high so I didn't let them go outside due to their terrible allergies. I went outside, however, and weeded flower beds and organized the shed (it looks so much better). Our week of prayer continued with powerful message by Chris Anderson that evening.

I'm enjoying getting up early every morning and spending time in prayer and God's word. I've always had devotions, but in the last few weeks, I've come upstairs to study. I find that I concentrate better up here. This was my meditation/prayer today:

My actions show that self reigns as my queen 

When I refuse to do a humble act 

Because it will put me out of my way

Or it will make me uncomfortable

Or I would prefer to do something else

My words show that self reigns as my queen

When I speak words of passion not reason

Because someone has irritated me

Or I have been wronged and want sympathy

Or I am angry it wasn’t done my way

My thoughts show that self reigns as my queen

When I think myself better than others

Because I see defects in other people

Or I complete a project the fastest

Or comprehend a concept the quickest

Lord please divest me of all selfishness

I surrender my thoughts, words and actions

Because Queen Self has to be crucified

And Your thrown must be set up in my mind

So your love will have the supreme control
