What to do while quarantined (Day #1)
Day 1 of quarantine:
We aren't officially on quarantine, but since our entire city is shut down due to COVID-19, we are looking at some social isolation for at least a few weeks. We can't complain. Many people are facing things much worse than we are.
I am a little disappointed we can't do some fun travel plans, and lots of activities we do every week are halted.
The kids are extremely depressed about not getting to go out (we have an incredibly hectic and crazy social life). So, we are making the best of the situation and coming up with all sorts of other creative ways to pass the time. We made a long "to-do" list of chores, projects, and fun activities. We plan to do at least 2 long-term projects and 2 fun activities every single day. We are going to do our best to blog about each day's activities.
Today, Michael wanted to blog about some funny things that happened over the last couple of days. This is his blog.
Funny sayings:
Amy: "You know sometimes words blurt out of your mouth?"
Daddy: "Yeah...I totally identify! Mommy, tells me I do that all the time."
Funny Story by Michael:
This is a funny story. On Friday, while doing History and Greek with Grandpa Phil, I wanted some ice so I could suck on it. I like to suck on ice. I reached up into the cupboard where Grandma Sherry keeps the glasses. I didn't look very carefully at the glass. I put the glass under the ice dispenser. Ice came out and very quickly filled the glass. Then I pulled it out and ice went everywhere. I said, "Oops, I'll clean that out." I carefully dumped the ice off the top of the glass into the sink. Then I set the glass down on the counter. Grandpa, said, "Ooo there goes another one. I guess you just did the same thing I did. Look at the glass." I looked at the glass and burst out laughing. It was upside down!! I cleaned it up quickly. While I cleaned up the ice Grandpa Phil told me this story:
When it was early in the morning, I got up. I wanted some water. So, I went to the sink, grabbed a cup, and without looking at it I took it over to fill with water (the light was off). I turned the water on, and thought, wow, the cup isn't filling with water very quickly. I wondered why, so I turned the light on. Then I realized I had done the same dumb thing you had done. The cup was upside down!
