Fake sleeping

It's been a long time since I have posted. A lot of water under the bridge! Eric and I are now fostering an adorable child (age and name withheld for privacy). 

Amy, my 15 y/o, shared the following interaction:

"I come into my bedroom after just leaving to go to the bathroom, and my foster sister decides that was a good time to transfer from the top of her bed to under her bed. I promptly informed her that it was not an option, and she proceeded to commence fake crying. It was so obviously fake… like she’s done pretty good fake cries before, but this one was the worst ever. So I told her, 'You’re not crying. You’re pretending to cry. I need you to stop pretending to cry and start pretending to sleep.'"

Wow, I didn't realize my 15 y/o had such wisdom beyond her years!
